Accommodation
We are currently restoring our property ‘Lieu dit La Chabotterie’ - a 15th century farm complex including dwellings, guard towers, animal housing, goat milking parlour and barns into a series of gites within over two and ahalf acres of grounds; La Petite Chabotterie is available now with others to follow in the autumn of 2010.
La Petite Chabotterie is a restored farmhouse more than 200 years old. It has a ‘3 Épis’ Gites de France rating providing hotel standard bedrooms for four people, plus additional accommodation for a further 2 persons if required. Pet beds, blankets, towels etc. are provided.
The gite has 110 square metres of living accommodation plus a covered verandah of 25 square metres allowing for extended outdoor living. There are two large double bedrooms, the first on the ground floor has an en-suite bathroom that also includes your washing machine, the second upstairs has views over the garden and fields. The adjacent main bathroom has an enclosed shower suitable for pet baths.
The spacious kitchen is light and airy and leads through French doors out to the covered veranda. There is a five-burner gas cooker with large oven and rotisserie , microwave, dishwasher, family fridge-freezer, espresso machine, ‘cave du vin’, cd-radio and quality crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery for up to six people. A range of cleaning materials is supplied.
Upstairs the large sitting room is equipped with a HD 36” flat-screen tv, satellite and terrestrial boxes, with a dvd player. There is a range of dvds and books to suit all ages in both English and French. The large corner sofa converts easily to a comfortable double bed to give an extra two persons accommodation.
Included in the gite are special little touches that we hope improve its ambience and make your stay here more pleasurable.
There is a large garden area in excess of 2,000 square metres that is exclusively for your use other than sharing it with our ducks and chickens who roam free. There are outdoor toys and games provided. The large pond for the ducks is not enclosed so is not suitable for unsupervised young children.
